The first European GTO race, the 1962 Targa Florio, was held by the 3451GT. Pietro Ferraro and Giorgio Scarlatti finished absolute quarters and GT class winners. On that occasion the car sported an unusual brown color with a white roof to protect itself from the very strong sun of the Sicilian race. Same livery for the other two races of 1962, the 1000km of the Nurburgring and the Trieste-Opicina. In the following years the 3451GT changed owner disputing several seasons full of events, especially with the French driver Guy Rivillon.
