Studied in the years of World War II, the Austin A125 Sheerline appeared in 1947. It owed its name to the power of the 125 horsepower straight-six engine. The car was at the top of the range and had the ambition to rival Bentleys and Rolls Royces, with a price appropriate to the luxury of the car, which cost five or six times a normal Austin.
