The 62 series of this generation was introduced in 1950. Stylistically, it retained the typical roundness of 1940s Cadillacs, raised rear fenders and particularly elaborate bumpers with cone-shaped rostrums. The 62 series benefited from a new V8 engine. Much appreciated today by collectors are the convertible examples. This generation of the Cadillac 62 went out of production in 1953.
