With the CRX, Western audiences began to appreciate what Honda was capable of in terms of engines. The CRX, presented in 1986, could count on 16-valve engines capable of reaching speeds unthinkable for other 4 cylinders, while maintaining an unparalleled fluidity of use. From 1600cc and 125hp of the first generation up to 130hp of the second generation, the CRX ensured driving fun with first-rate technological contents. In 1990 the 150 horsepower 1.6 VTEC version was marketed, with phase variator. At the end of 1987 a restyling was introduced. The CRX remained in production until 1992.
