It was tradition at Peugeot to derive coupé and cabriolet versions from a sedan model. The 504 did not escape this custom and in 1969 the 504 coupé and cabriolet were presented, equipped with an original and elegant bodywork designed by Pininfarina. The first engine was the 1800cc one (1969-1970), which changed to 2 liters in September 1970. The model received constant evolutions during its long career but it was in 1974 that a fundamental stage was recorded, namely the arrival of the V6 PRV, which gave a further touch of sportiness to the 504 coupés and cabriolets. In July 1977 Peugeot stopped manufacturing the 504 V6 carburettors and presented the 504 V6 injection in October, available only with a coupé body. The 504 coupés and cabriolets went out of production between 1982 and 1983.
