The McLaren M14 was essentially a development of the M7C, with modifications to the monocoque to increase tank capacity and suspension. In 1970 the car achieved good results and was used until 1971 in various versions. The M14D was fitted with the Alfa Romeo engine in the early summer of 1970 and its best result was a fourth place at Monza that same year. Andrea De Adamich, Peter Gethin, Dan Gurney, Denny Hulme and Bruce McLaren drove the M14.
