After the brief episode of the 2000 (1980-1981), Dacia again tried the two-volume bodywork card by developing the 1320 in 1988, an unprecedented version with a tailgate of the 1310. The car was equipped with the well-known 1289cc 4-cylinder engine and 54cv, combined with a 5-speed gearbox, unlike the 1310. With a 10% higher price than the 1310, the 1320 was not particularly popular with the public who found other models such as the 1410 coupé and the breaks more interesting. Production of the 1320 ceased in 1991 after only 2567 units were sold. The car was replaced by a more modern evolution, called 1325 Liberta.
