The second generation of the Lincoln Continental went into production in 1955. As exclusive as the first series, this second version was equipped with a 6030cc engine, from 285 to 300 horsepower. Vaguely resembling the Ford Thunderbird, the Continental was still more refined and above all cost three times as much. With its understated design, high-end finish and confident road handling, the Continental MkII remained in production until 1957.
