Bianchi Anderloni was setting up the design to replace the Alfa Romeo 1900SS when, reading a book, he took inspiration from the Praho, a fast vessel with a concave stern. From this feature he derived the rear window of his 2000 Sprint Touring bodywork. Touring was already building the spider version of the 2000 for Alfa Romeo, but for Praho it decided to start with a Sprint platform. Exhibited at the 1960 Turin Motor Show, the Praho remained a unique model.
