The DK400, presented in 1954, was one of the last traditional Daimlers, that is with a chassis separated from the bodywork and a four-speed “fluid fywheel” transmission. The engine was a 4617cc inline 6-cylinder. Although produced mostly as a limousine, there was no shortage of models equipped with special bodies. The DK400 went out of production in 1960 with approximately 132 units built.
