The second series of the Ford Consul was marketed from 1956. Identified as 204E, the car had a longer wheelbase than the first series and a more functional and modern body. Equipped with a 1703cc 4-cylinder engine, the 204E received a new roof design from February 1959. From the summer of 1961 the car was called the Consul 375. Over the years, technical improvements were introduced, such as optional disc brakes. from September 1960 and standard from May 1961. Production ceased in 1962.
