The Ford-powered version of the Lola-Haas of F1 made its debut at Imola in 1986, after the team had started the season with the 1985 THL1, equipped with the Hart engine. The 1986 THL2 was a fairly competitive car, albeit often in debt for power and reliability. The best result was Alan Jones' fourth place in Austria. Eddie Cheever and Patrick Tambay also drove the THL2. At the end of 1986 the Lola-Haas team left Formula 1.
