The first appearance of the Aston Martin Rapide dates back to January 2006 at the Detroit Auto Show and its commercialization began in September 2009. This car was developed from the DB9 coupe, which helped to give it a very low and slender silhouette. During the first few years, production was ensured by Magna Steyr in Graz, then resumed in Gaydon in the autumn of 2012. 2,872 Rapide units were produced until February 2013.
