In the Peugeot range, the 305, which was discontinued in 1987, was not replaced by the 306, as the logic of the numbers would have wanted, but by the 405, which is about 20 centimeters longer. The 306 replaced the 309, born in 1985 from the base of the Talbot Arizona which was never put into production for the closure of the ex-Simca brand. The 306, on the other hand, was born in 1993, first as a five-door sedan, then followed by a three-door version, a four-door four-volume and also a convertible and a break, which arrived quite late, in 1997. Countless versions, also sporty , for a range that was always very rich and that had two main restylings, in 1997 and 1999. The 306 is still able to have its say in terms of comfort, road holding and performance, all accompanied by sobriety and elegance. The 306 also had a good career in competitions, especially in rallies, but also on the track in the various national touring championships in Group N, A and SuperProduction (Super2000).
