Humber was one of the many brands of the Rootes group. In 1963 the Sceptre was presented, a 4-door sedan, a strange cross between the Super Minx and a Rapier. The first series engine was a 1592cc 4-cylinder, replaced in 1965 by a 1742cc. This Scepter model went out of production in 1967 after 17011 first series and 11985 second series exemplars built.
