The LN had been the first Citroën cloned on a Peugeot, to be precise the 104. Cloning ... was repeated with the Saxo, which was practically the Citroën version of the Peugeot 106. The base was good but perhaps the Citroën fans would have wanted something more original. Saxo, however, had a fair number of sales between 1995 and 2003 and the most memorable version is the sporty VTS, which gave life to several monobrand stores in Europe for a few years. The Saxo also had quite a long ralliyng career.
