Lloyd was a German brand of economy cars, belonging to the Borgward group. The first cars of the low range were marketed starting in 1950, but the brand was already known since the 1940s for trucks and Hansa-Lloyd luxury cars. The Alexander was introduced in 1957 with sedan and Kombi break bodies. In 1959, the TS version of the sedan was introduced. Production went on until 1961.
