In May 1960 a break version of the Fiat 500 was presented, called Giardiniera. To increase the load capacity, the engine was placed horizontally. The wheelbase was increased by 10 centimeters, while the mechanics remained unchanged. From 1966 the Giardiniera was produced by Autobianchi, until August 1977. A total of 327,000 copies of the Giardiniera were produced.
