Jean Bugatti died in 1939, Ettore in 1947; at the beginning of the 50s, Roland Bugatti and racing driver Pierre Marco, tried to make the Bugatti legend live again, notwithstanding the difficult times. Unfortunately they lacked of the genius and the spirit of Jean and Ettore, and the car they produced, the 101 and the 102 were not a success. Such cars came with special bodyworks designed by specialist like Gangloff, Guilloré, Antem and Exner/Ghia.
