С учётом НДС €79.95 Mercedes started preparing the new technical regulation for the 2014 engines well ahead of the competition. This advantage immediately translated into six successes in the first six GPs of the season. Hamilton and Rosberg easily dominated throughout 2014, and in the end it was the English driver who was crowned world champion with 384, against Nico Rosberg's 317. Mercedes' most accredited competitor was Daniel Ricciardo, third in the championship with 238 points and 3 wins. Mercedes also won the constructors' title with 701, ahead of Red Bull (405) and Williams (320).
