Taken over in 1977 by Chrysler after a long time, the name Lebaron remained largely unknown to the European public, at least until the release, in the eighties, of a new model, coupé or convertible, characterized by a 3-liter Mitsubishi V6 engine, however quite limited. The platform from which it derived even dated back to the time of the Talbot Horizon. The Lebaron, especially in the convertible configuration, became a glamorous car and remained in production until 1995.
