The Peugeot 905, designed for the Group C regulations, was presented in July 1990 and debuted at the end of the season. The engine was a 3.5-liter V10 that developed a power of about 680hp and which was then used as a basis for the 1994 McLaren F1. The 905 was continuously developed until 1993, the last racing season. The EVO LM version was expressly perfected for the 24 Hours of Le Mans starting with the Evo1 Bis model. The aerodynamic package of the EVO LM included a modified front, without spoiler, and a rear part with a different extractor and no longer side exhausts. At the 1993 Le Mans 24 Hours the Peugeot 905 took the second consecutive victory.
