The Morris Oxford series VI took over from the Mk.V in 1961. The Mk.VI had the 1622cc engine, while the Mk.V was equipped with the 1489cc. From August 1961 the option of automatic transmission was offered and a 1500cc diesel engine was also introduced. The station wagon version was also available. The Oxford Mk.VI went out of production in 1971, after 208,823 units were built.
