Quite baroque, with the rear end evoking certain thirties style features, the second generation of the Cadillac Seville adopted some unusual technical solutions for American production, such as front-wheel drive. Among the engines there was also a 6036cc Diesel engine. The gearbox was 3-speed automatic. This generation of the Seville, luxurious and full of accessories, remained in production from 1980 to 1985, with around 200,000 units built. The next generation was much less successful.
